Add your design flair to the Newton/Des Moines East KOA Campground with our Stickers of 2026 Contest! Calling artists, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages to design a sticker that captures the spirit of camping. Your vision
could be one of 12 monthly winners this season (did we mention PRIZES...), and move on to the Grand Prize level this fall. Grand Prize winners in two age groups will be professionally printed and available for purchase in our camp office.
How about that? Stickers by YOU to show off and some pretty cool prizes are up for grabs too. Let your imagination run wild and help us showcase the Magic of Camping!
Entry Form & Rules
Contest entries for the 2026 Sticker Designs will be accepted on-site or through regular mail at:

Please allow extra time when mailing entries. Electronic submissions ARE accepted in PDF format only. VGE, LLC and its respective entities are not responsible for loss or damage of entries.Entry deadline: MIDNIGHT (Central) on the last day of each month.
Mailed entries must be received by the last day of the month to be judged for that month, otherwise they will go into the next month’s pool. The final entry of the season will be accepted until November 2, 2025. Entries accepted from national and international residents. No purchase or lodging reservations required to enter the contest. Entry form must be completed in entirety and submitted with artwork.
An entry form must accompany each submission. Only one unique entry per person, per month. Entries are accepted and judged each month - May through October.
Age Categories
Two age groups are available:
1. 17 and Under
2. 18 and Older
Please include on the entry form your age at time of submission. Entrant’s age will be considered by judges when evaluating designs. Youth 17 and younger must enter a parent/guardian email and phone number on the entry form. Parents/guardians will be contacted if art is selected as group winner.
Entrants 18 and older must LIKE and FOLLOW the Newton/Des Moines East KOA Campground Facebook page and are encouraged to share your design on Facebook with the TAG: @newtonkoa. Parents/Guardians, you must LIKE and FOLLOW the Newton/Des Moines East KOA Campground Facebook page to enter a minor’s artwork. We encourage you to share the design and TAG us as well!

By submitting an entry, each participant is giving permission for their entry to be judged by a committee, shared with others and reproduced in marketing materials. Newton/Des Moines East KOA Campground will print and sell sticker designs at the camp store and use designs for promotional purposes. Entries will not be returned to artists, and become the property of VanGilder Enterprises, LLC for reproduction, sale and use in print, electronic and marketing materials.
Sticker Design & Judging
Entries will be judged on:
1. relatedness to camping
2. creativity
3. quality of illustration
4. ability to be adapted for finished sticker product
Stickers can be any shape, but must fit within the confines of the 4"x4" square canvas. Any number of colors may be used in the entry, however stickers may be modified (scale, # of colors) in any way for final production. No offensive words, slang, images or symbols will be accepted; these designs will be disqualified from the contest. Members of VanGilder Enterprises, LLC will judge entries, and the VGE, LLC marketing team will make final selections each month in each age group.
Monthly Winners
Two winners will be chosen each month based on age groups and judging criteria. A minimum of two entries must be received in an age group each month for judging to take place. If only one entry is received in either age group, that entry will get moved into the next month’s competition.
Monthly winners (one from each age group) will be notified and receive a $50 gift certificate to spend in the camp office or toward a reservation.
Those winning designs will ADVANCE to the final round of judging in November.
Grand Prize
In November, we will display the twelve monthly winners on Newton/Des Moines East KOA Campground Facebook page and ask our followers to chose a winner in both age groups to receive a Grand Prize. Grand Prize winners (2) receive:
1. $350 campground gift certificate to use toward an on-site lodging experience of your choice during the 2026 camping season (expires October 31, 2026).
2. a prize package of gifts, and
3. TEN final production stickers to keep.
Watch the Newton/Des Moines East KOA Facebook page in November and encourage your family and friends to vote! Grand Prize winners will be notified by December 1, 2025 and announced on social media and in printed publications. Prize winners must make advance reservations by phone.
